Got Questions about Drying and Framing Your Bouquet? We Have Answers!
Find everything you need to know about drying and framing your cherished bouquet below.
When should I send my bouquet?
To ensure the best drying results, we kindly request that you send your bouquet as soon as possible following your wedding day, ideally within 1-3 days or the next working day. If your bouquet exceeds this 3-day timeframe, we may request photos of your bouquet to assess its condition. Please note that we reserve the right to cancel orders placed after the recommended posting time.
How do I package my bouquet for posting?
After you've completed your order, we'll provide you with an extensive packaging guide via email. If you have placed your order in advance we can purchase a packing kit which includes everything you will need to send your flowers to us safely. Alternatively if you choose to prepare your bouquet yourself, you'll need to have your own durable box and packaging materials on hand, like tissue paper or newspapers. Please note that we do not recommend wrapping your bouquet in bubble wrap, as it can lead to excess moisture and cause your flowers to sweat and mould.
What postal service should I use to send my bouquet?
We suggest using Royal Mail's Special Delivery before 1pm service. We have a good relationship with my local Royal Mail team and often endorse this service for your convenience. Please be aware that the expense of shipping your flowers to me is your responsibility, with costs typically starting at £11. Please ensure you send your flowers early in the day so that they get collected that day.
Can I drop my bouquet off in person?
Yes we happily accept bouquet drop offs. Please send me a message to let us know what time you're planning to drop it off. I am based in Standish, Wigan.
Your finished frame can also be collected in person during our workshop opening times.
How should I care for my bouquet before sending it to you?
For optimal drying results, maintaining the freshness of your bouquet is crucial. Keep your flowers in water, even on your wedding day. Ensure they're shielded from direct sunlight and stored in a cool place. Instead of tossing your main bouquet, consider throwing your bridesmaids' bouquet or request your florist to craft a special 'throwing bouquet.' This will help preserve your main bouquet's pristine condition.
Are there any flowers that can't be dried?
We make every effort to ensure the highest quality drying for all the flowers in your bouquet. However, it's important to note that some flowers don't dry as effectively as others. These flowers include lilies (with the exception of some cala lilies), very open peonies (closed and partially open peonies are usually suitable for drying), sunflowers, gerberas, and large chrysanthemums, which may experience petal loss during the drying process. If any issues arise with the flowers I receive, I will promptly get in touch with you to discuss potential solutions and alternatives.
Will my bouquet fade overtime?
It's worth noting that your framed flowers may gradually change and evolve in colour over time. This natural process adds a dynamic and ever-changing quality to your frame, making it even more special and unique. Fading over time is a natural characteristic of dried flowers, and as such the exact lifespan of this process cannot be predicted. To minimise any colour fading, it's essential to keep the frame dry and away from direct sunlight.
How do I care for my finished frame?
Due to the delicate nature of the dried flowers, we recommend handling your frame with care. While every effort is made to secure the flowers within the frame, some natural shedding may occur over time and during transit. Keep your flowers out of direct sunlight and away from any humidity.
How long does the process take?
Processing time can take up to 20 weeks or longer during busy seasons. We reserve the right to extend this time if required.
